Nephew, Nemo and Jedi.. oh my...

Had my nephew over the weekend, the love-able little dude that he is. We ran around my house, played with his collection of toys that he has here (he's two btw), had dinner as he babbled at me all night. OH and did I mentioned I watched Finding Nemo for like the six time in as many weeks?

He's obsessed with Nemo. I don't think my screen saver on my computer helps. It's the aquarium one. I was happy the first couple of times he has been over and he wanted to watch the movie. I love Finding Nemo. It's one of my favorite Pixar films. But this weekend, I watched it twice!! In one day!! I don't ever remember being that obsessed with a movie when I was a kid, but my friends say it does happen. He likes it, and laughs when Crush shows up, and says Nemo nemo nemo like a little chant. I tried to get him to watch some of the Batman cartoons I have, and he was ok with that, but after that was over it was back to Nemo again. I'm honestly thinking about hiding the DVD for the next time he comes over. It's not that he actually watches the movie, he just wants it playing. Which is adorable in some ways and in others not so much. I have been told, however, that I should feel lucky it isn't one of the other Disney movies with music. Though I am fairly sure now I could quote a majority of the movie from memory. Plus side is that he has sorta latched onto another movie - The Hobbit! It's the animated version, but he seems to like it well enough.

The other interesting thing that he's obsessed with lately is video games or the machines that you can play them with. He will try to steal anyone's DS to play with, if it's out and within reach. He's not sure what to do with it, but he wants it, he knows that much. My N64 was sitting on a shelf next to my TV and he pointed at it and I told him it wasn't plugged in so that we could play. He proceeded to check the outlet next to the TV to see if I was telling the truth, and then demanded that I plug it in, in that chanting way two-yr-olds have when they are obsessed with something. Mom mentioned, a little while ago, that he wants to play with the Wii that my Mom got my sister and the boys for Christmas, but he gets frustrated and tosses the remote when the game doesn't do what he sees everyone else is able to do with it. I don't think he's connected all of it together yet, but I'm thinking of hooking up the N64 next weekend to see what he does with that. Should be good times, or the worst tantrum my house will ever see.

And speaking of games -

Hello, I'm a NDS addict.

I got The Force Unleashed for my birthday.

Guess what I've been playing since?

I now want to play the Wii version. The game very cool, but at the same time, I think they made it easier than it should be. Or maybe I've just been playing it too much. Maybe both. I do like the storyline though. I'm very sad actually that this wasn't made into a movie. I think it was a great premise, and a good middle story that links eps3 to eps4. If you don't know about the story, play the game, or ask me, I'll tell ya. I think there is a book out there, but don't quote me on it.
