English Fitted Gown or Flanders Gown is shown in several drawings and paintings from all over the world.
I have drawings from Edinburgh to Windsor, and here is a couple from Flanders and the surrounding countries.
We all know the sketch of London Gentlewomen, drawn by Flemish expatriate Lucas de Heere showing English Women in the Gown.

1 yard of Cotton Canvas at $3.00 $ 3.00
Purl Thread for lacing holes at $2.00 per skein $ 4.00

Over Gown
7 yards of 100% Linen in Gray at $7.50 $ 52.50
7 yards of 100% Linen Lining in blue at $4.00 $32.00
3 yards of 100% Linen in Black for trim at $4.00 $12.00
1 yard of Cotton Canvas at $2.00 $ 2.00
Total: $ 98.50
Total for Gown : $153.00
So this is a grand gown for Summer wear and it will also get this ready for a Feasting Gown which will be blue/gold silk damask, or I have some black cotton damask with large Fleur de Lys all over so I might use that for this outfit.
