Red Cliff II
It is Republic Day, so watching a film like this seems appropriate.
I must say that I enjoyed this one way more than the first part, not that there was anything wrong with the first part, it was a nice introduction to things, but part II was where the real story was. Even though I know how it ends I was still sitting on the edge of my seat for the most of it!
But the Pit/Piggy part had be wibbling, how could they have left this out of the English version?!!! All they showed was the end seen with Sun Shang Xiang sitting there and I had no clue why ... but now I do T_T
And Lu Su drinking with the Scarecrow/bad balance when the boat tilted was just hilarious!
I still think the Zhou Yu/Xiao Qiao parts were a little pointless, but now that I've had a chance to watch the whole story, it doesn't seem as pointless as they were in the English version, because they conveniently left out the part where she overheard them talking about needing more time, which made things very confusing. Actually I quite like Xiao Qiao, her character has more dept than the English version cared to show.
And I had some awesome Christmas Pudding! A friend of my aunt came down form England and brought some for us ... its a bit late, but it was really, really good, so I really don't give a damn!
