This has knocking around in my brain for a few days.
I think that if I was given a gun and faced with the option of killing Osama, and they just plopped him down right in front of me and said to go to it, I could never actually do it. As terrible of a person as he is, I don't believe that he deserves death. How can we bring it upon ourselves to decided someone else's death? It's such a serious decision. I read a statistic today that 11 people who were on death row in Iowa(?) were actually innocent. The death penalty seems just a bit hasty, dontcha think?
I'm getting off-topic. My point really was that I'm a pansy and can't kill a person. And I still think there's hope for our enemies. Just imagine if we had lost WWI, or been less harsh with the Treaty of Versailles. Would Hitler have hated us so much? And if he hadn't hated the Jews, imagine what he could have done. People massacred innocent civilians because Hitler told them to. What if he had wanted to save the Jews instead?
Nevermind. I lost the point.
