The day after Thanksgiving. The biggest shopping day of the entire year. Stores open at 5:30 am to hoards of crazy and rude customers set on making every store a disaster area worthy of Monkey Boy's National Disaster Outreach Plan. There are no parking spaces. There is no space to walk in the asiles. Everything sells out before noon. There is no line shorter than an hour at the checkout. There are no boxes. There are no merry shoppers. There is no holiday cheer. There is no reprieve from the three-hour loop of cheesy christmas songs.

I'm working a nine hour shift tomorrow. 3pm to 11pm. In the most popular department store in the city.
