is it friday yet?

joe is in my beloved new orleans for work...covering some girls college basketball or something.  he might be home sunday if they lose or tuesday if they dont.  so either way, i got a leeetle vaca to look forward to.  too bad vaca for me does not mean what it means for most everyone else.  it means i get to bust out a lot of work that i am too distracted to do when he is around.  ha!  oh well.  i will still have plenty of time to nap and chill and read and play with the kids and still cross many things off my never-ending to do list.

on my way home from work i saw something in the adjacent grassy area that butts up to our yard that put me in sheer panic mode.  a kitty who was laying in the sun, not moving.  i was sure the dogs would run out and bark incessantly at it and scare it right into traffic.  to my surprise they went right over to it, sniffed thru the fence and continued on the pee parade.  so then i had to go investigate.  i had all kinds of scenarios playing in my head about what kind of morbid condition it would be in, and how if i hurried up i could still make it to the vet before it closed.  yeah.  so it was a cat.  black and white.  sunning itself.  a stuffed cat.   ahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa  whew.

i have had a rippin headache all day long.  advil didnt do a thing.  neither did coffee and chocolate.  neither did excedrin.  so i think sleep is my only cure.

so whats for dinner at your house????
