I took my kids to school this morning, same as always...waited in the school yard til they were both in the school and as I was standing there waiting for all the kids to go in so I could get by to go in myself to leave (the school yard is set up that you have to go in the school and go out another door to get to it, it's somewhat confined)...I was talking to one of the mothers standing there, and another one was nearby...she was new to the school system. She was mentioning that she was new and her son was in third grade and told me the kid's name...Zachary had just mentioned this boy to me yesterday so I told her he was in my son's class and has a good teacher. She was a little nervous about her son moving to a new school and all that, but after me and the other mom talked to her, she seemed to be more at ease that her kid would be ok. She was really nice and I look forward to seeing her in the mornings and afternoons when we drop the kids off and pick them up. I can't imagine the anxieties of putting your kid in a new school system...but she said her son liked it so far so I think he'll be ok. I'll just mention to my son to help him around with things should he need it...though my son would normally do that anyway. :) I think the mom is more worried than her son. hehe I'm sure he;ll be fine...he sounds like a good kid. I'm happy I got to welcome her today.
