Hmm...where to begin...well, another school year has started for the kids, Krysta is in 4th grade and Zachary in 3rd. Krysta still hates school, I fear she will never like it. But one good thing she's excited about is, the Warwick PTA is sponsoring a language fair type thing where the elementary kids can start early on a foreign language after school...they have Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese...my daughter is ecstatic cuz she's been wanting to learn Japanese for awhile now, she knows some words and phrases already from her Japanese anime she watches and we even went to the Black Ships Festival (a Japanese festival they have in Newport, RI every summer) and one of the things they had there was an introductory Japanese speaking session...she loved it and learned some numbers and phrases and how to pronounce the letters in Japanese. So at least she has one good thing to look forward this year.
Zachary, he's happy to see his girlfriends again. hehe Yeah, he likes two girls in his class...one (let's call her K) is the active type (she has two older brothers so she's more into the athletics and such) and then there's the cute sweet type who always looks cute in anything she wears (let's call her B) and she is always looking out for my son...heck just today I found out from B's mom that she told her the teacher is always talking about the fire my brother died in and she was worried that Zachary would be feeling sad about it...unfortunately Zach hasn't mentioned it to me but he doesn't like to talk about it, everytime I ask, he acts like he doesn't care, or it doesn't bother him but I can see it does...I will have to talk to his teacher and let her know (if she doesn't know already) that Zach lost a close uncle to that fire, and also K lost her godmother in the fire as well, so I can't see this talking about it in class as a good thing for either of them. B says Zach just keeps his face down and works on whatever he is working on and tries to ignore it. *sigh* I wish he'd talk to me about it...but I don't want to push it.
Brad's still working (thankfully) for Cox and has had one promotion and raise since...hoping he gets more soon cuz he's still not making as much as he was at Statestreet before he got laid off. But he likes it and we do get a discount on our internet, cable and phone bills, so I guess I can't complain. Just wish we could get a discount on our gas and electric..and rent...ugh. He works 5 days a week (Fri and Sun off) and it's nice cuz he leaves a little past 10 so should my car break down or something he can always get the kids off to school in the morning if needed. Also, it gives me more options to find a day job so I could be home to get the kids after school, if I had to I could work early mornings and be home by 1 or 2...at least the schedule is open for it, now I just need to find something. He doesn't get home til 8 or so though...so again I have to deal with the after school fighting with the kids to get their homework done by myself. And they don't get homework on weekends (well, ususally don't) so the one day he's home, they don't get homework. Ah well, I guess I can't complain...he's working and there's money coming into the house so that's a good thing.
As for me...well, nothing really to report...same shit different day says it all. Aside from trying to find another job...I still work weekends at the chinese restaurant, but we need more money and before the winter hits too. Unfortunately I haven't found anyplace that has the hours I need available yet. Oh, my boss redid the restaurant so it looks completely different now...I like it, it's more organized and clean and more spacious. He added booths and took out alot of the square tables that were squeezed into the place...and he added a huge new bar and will be putting up TVs and a Keno machine (lottery thing)...so hopefully it brings in more business...thankfully he did this after the smoking law went into affect...no smoking in public buildngs...cuz with a bar, all people do is sit, drink, and smoke and play keno...ugh...that would stink the place up real fast. He lost about 6 seats but we could always put one more table of 4 back should we need it (he saved a few tables that he has stored in the basement).
Well, nothing else new to report...not alot going on...like I said...same shit, different days is all...I hope you all are well...sorry I haven't written in awhile...I haven't had much time or desire to get on the PC much these days...not that I didn't want to see or talk to you all, but...well...I just didn't want to cause any problems. I have missed you all. *hugs & kisses* to everyone.
