Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
I took the kids to see Harry Potter yesterday (the kids took the day out of school to see it at 12:40) and although the movie was great in special affects and all, I was quite disappointed in it. I won't say much about it, so's not to ruin it for others, but there was alot missing from the movie and even a few things added that could have been left out (and put in the things that WERE in the book). Now, maybe it's just me or even because I had just read the book with the kids these last few weeks before the movie came out and it was too fresh in my memory...I dunno...but in any case, I felt that they could have done so much better. Though there were some great scenes in the movie which I'm glad they did do...the knight bus was awesome and the hippogriff was very nicely done. My son was a little miffed there wasn't more quiddich stuff and my daughter was mentioning other funny things that were in the book that weren't in the movie, but i guess all in all, they got most of the main points of the movie...Oh and I want one of those little trinkets that Hermione has in the movie...that would help me get the stuff done I needed to do in the day much better and with time to spare. lol Has anybody else seen it yet? What do you think?
