Uh-oh, looks like somebody is updating from Roooooma! So I figure that while I’m here, it’ll be good to activate this again, because why the hell not. Testacchio is ok-ish, but I mostly avoided it. I lived up above Trastevere... there's a ton of good places there, but I highly recommend Mr. Browns. Couldn't tell you what street it's on though, so I guess check a phone book? It's sort of near the end of Via della Lungara near where it intersects the end of Via Garibaldi.

Btw, make sure at some point you walk up Via Garibaldi to the statue of Garibaldi, which overlooks pretty much the whole city, plus they fire the cannon at noon. Right down the street is a statue of Anna Garibaldi, who is riding a horse, waving a pistol, and breast-feeding ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

Avoid Campo for the bars... you're right, it's all tourists, etc. Mr. Brown's was our "Regular" bar, and we went to a few near our apartment, but Mr. Brown's was the best.

If you like beer, try Peroni first, because it's like the Italian beer.

Uhh, let's see what else... Dunno, just ask more questions!

P.S. Where is Temple located? I feel as if I should remember, because I met kids from Temple, but really really can't. I think it's near where I lived.
