So much for getting my UK trip post ready tonight...
I watched The Fall last night, a movie that I wanted to see for quite a long time, and it definitely managed to live up to my expectations. It also is one of the pretties movies I've ever seen, so of course my inner picspam addict just couldn't resist.
I suppose I should also attempt a short reaction of sorts.
Like I already mentioned, this movie is absolutely stunning, even on my small computer screen it managed to completely take my breath away. I suppose you could really take any shot from the movie, frame it and hang it on your wall, it's just that pretty.
The acting is wonderful, both Catinca Untaru (How amazing is that girl, seriously!) and Lee Pace absolutely shine in their roles, and the whole supporting cast does a really good job, too. And yes, Julian Bleach is still nuts and I still love him for it.
The way in which the story was presented reminded me of Pan's Labyrinth a little bit, the trailer also rather made it seem like a fantasy story, while in fact, that fantasy story only is a means to reflect the actual plot, and Lee Pace's character pretty much makes it up as he goes along. Nevertheless, both stories, the real one and the fantasy tale, manage to have a considerable emotional impact.
So yeah, what can I say? The Fall is a lovely and fascinating little gem of a movie, and I really loved it.

As for the picspam, it only focuses on the first half of the movie. As far as I can see, there are no major spoilers.
I seriously could watch them interact all day long. :)
