Rarewomen!

Now that I'm a little less overwhelmed, I come bearing a wild assortment of recs and general delight! I found out about this fest way too late to participate last year, and am so glad I put aside my reservations and dove in this year.

I wrote two stories for the archive: my assignment, Heart Like The Wild Sky, which is Fire Emblem 13 fic revolving around Lucina/Cherche (possibly the rarest pairing I have ever written) and the weirdness of traveling back in time and dating your best friend's mom, and a treat, Faust And The One Eyed Rabbit, which is a mostly silly Kuroshitsuji story wherein Lizzie critiques toys and becomes an opera fan, and Ciel wears pink.

I received the lovely Naamah and the Princess, which is a Kushiel's Legacy story about Sidonie and Amarante (!) and the beginnings of their relationship. It also features a sweet bit of mythology that's perfectly in keeping with what we know about Naamah, and so fitting for the pair that of course Sidonie thinks Amarante just made it up to appeal to her. <3

Also in the collection is the Kuroshitsuji story that was not written by me, I Won't Fear Love, which has Midford family bonding and mother-daughter love and is super sweet.

Then there's Challenging sweetheart heartlessly, which is Howl's Moving Castle fic with the three Hatter sisters and a spell so perfectly absurd that I totally believed it came from that universe.

And I can't forget Pebbles and Breadcrumbs, which I knew I was going to like the minute I saw it was tagged with "Manfred von Karma's fantastic parenting". I'm super new to Ace Attorney fandom, and haven't played through all the games, so honestly there are probably references I'm missing but I loved the complicated sibling relationship, and how completely Franziska the story feels.

All in all, it's been a fantastic exchange, and I'm looking forward to reading more of the collection.
