Apparently...
...my temper was not the only thing doomed to boil over today.
I barely made it home. I was waiting to make a left turn out of the drive-thru, and suddenly I notice the A/C is blowing hot air, there's a sickly sweet stench, and there's smoke/steam coming out from under the hood. I manage to park and get the hood opened in time to see bright green liquid spewing from a valve in the front. So either Yoda (or Elphaba) has just died very messily, or my car's overheating/leaking problem has reared its very ugly head again. I sat and waited for a half hour for the car to cool down, poured the last coolant I had in the tank, and even then STILL only barely made it the remaining five minutes' drive home before the damn thing started to overheat again. My stepdad had looked at it and deemed it okay before I drove to Tulsa this weekend, so I guess the trip itself (all 200 miles of it) was too much for it.
I hate this car. The only thing that's kept me from getting a new one thus far is that it's going to take thousands of dollars to get my teeth fixed. But unfortunately when push comes to shove, a car is a more urgent need than my teeth. My teeth can't get me to and from work every day, and at least I don't have to worry about my teeth getting me stranded in the middle of a highway or blown up when they break.
