Actually got in shortly after midnight last night, and I spent most of today hibernating. I'm recovering from a sunburn that left me temporarily looking like Mustafar!Vader (alas, the lava-crisped version, not the intact and sinisterly attractive version) and walking like Threepio, but otherwise, pretty good time. :) I'll have more details and ( Read more... )

This was on Friday, so fortunately the worst of the discomfort has passed - didn't take long to set in at all; no itching, just burning like hell, and blisters I haven't seen the likes of in 20 years. Ugh! About the only good thing about it all is that it was confined to my arms and upper legs (hence the moving like 3P0 ;)). Definitely seeing the doc at some point.

Dude how common is sunscreen over there? Like is it something people bother about or is it no big deal?

LOL, no, it's definitely not a rarity over here. Especially this time of year, stores are flooded with countless types of sun protection. I was just careless one afternoon, which was doubly stupid since I'm particularly fair-skinned.
