Spock!
So, I had to find out from my non-fannish Dad (who I may be back on speaking terms with, but I'll address that in another post) that Leonard Nimoy himself is going to be in Tulsa, two weeks from now? I know you and I haven't done the Trek con thing in a while, Lindsay, but I'm still kind of surprised I haven't seen anything from you on this - I guess you've seen all these people at other cons already?
I don't like the idea of $65 for an autograph, but dude, for a pic with Spock himself? It'd almost be worth it. It'd be every bit as awesome as my pics with Carrie Fisher and Anthony Daniels. I'm kind of impressed they got Avery Brooks too (actually it's a pretty decent guest list overall), though I don't know if I like Sisko enough for that price.
All this is operating under the fantastical assumption that I would be able to afford to go to this, anyway. Oh well. Well... I suppose I could probably scrape together the Saturday general admission and Nimoy autograph fee, but that would mean I'd be spending hours in line behind the higher-end ticket people. Ehh. Not thrilling, though I've done it before.
So there's this, then of course there's Azkatraz, which I KNOW I can't afford (*sniffles*), the traveling show of Wicked in July, and the Star Wars Fan Days in October, then Celebration V sometime next year...
