You might want to consider counseling, if for no other reason than to help you get through this sort of thing. Your job might offer EAP that offers these kinds of services cheap.

Oh, I already have someone in mind - my sister's seen this person and really liked them, so the person's already familiar with my family's special brand of WTF-ery. ;)
