May as well just do my hair up like Danish rolls and be done with it...

...my coworkers got me a birthday card that plays the Star Wars theme and several of them "signed" it as different SW characters. I recognized the card before I even opened the envelope - it was the exact same one I got my friend Lindsay last year ( Read more... )

Celebration IV was two years ago, and they still haven't let me forget. 'Sokay, because it was awesome. :D

I do notice my coworkers didn't rib me near as much for going to a Harry Potter con, though...

And yes, definitely SW over politics. :P

Hey, there's always C5. *g*

Nah, they don't believe in the same HP-is-Satan bullshit my stepmom does, thankfully. I guess SW is just easier to "pick" on.

Also, very much jealous of you in your icon! Carrie! *swoon*

She was definitely the non-meetup highlight of C4 for me. I'm actually jealous of my friend - she got a hug with Carrie. :P

One of my students at the school found a pencil from The Witching Hour, so I confessed I've been to a HP con. She thought that was very cool.

I get teased about it all the time by my colleagues.

My coworkers know I've gone to both HP and SW cons... maybe they figure it's easier to rib me for the SW side of it because SW has more of a "geek" rep? I dunno. It's mostly good natured, though, so I don't mind.

Like hell I ever show any of them pics of me in my Luna costume or my picture with Carrie Fisher, though! ;)

The "A long, long, long time ago... you were born" one?

The card my sister got one time is probably my fave SW one, though: it has has Leia on the front and says "Me? Forget your birthday? I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee!" Heh. This one's good too, though. :)

Yep - I've gotten that one and ... actually a few others that don't play music. I seem to recall one of Han Solo wishing me a happy b'day that my friends put a naughty message - supposedly from him - in it! LOL Oh if only it were true! ;)

Let one person know you're going to a Star Wars convention, and you're labeled for life
LOL, so true. At least they know you enough to give to an amusing card and not some silly joke one.

Which 'characters' signed?

Not that card. *g* Gotta keep things worksafe, you know. ;)

(Good God, if my coworkers knew about my Vaderkin... admiration, I really would never hear the end of it. LOL.)
