Did it!
Went ahead and snapped up one of the refurb 160 GB iPods (black). The Genius feature on the new 120GBs is neat, but not neater than an extra 40 GB of space! Bought a protective case for it too, because I know how badly I abused my last iPod and as much as this one's costing me, I want it to last!
I'm going to be spending the entire weekend loading that up with every damn movie and TV show I have. :D I'm already fantasizing about losing myself in Buffy or Harry Potter while less than two feet away Janet is in the front seat oblivious. ;D Best road trip ever!
It's still quite a bit of money, but I know I won't ever get one of these unless I buy it myself, and dammit, I think I've earned myself a shiny Christmas present like this one. :)
