Five-day weekend! :D

I'm trying to focus on that now, instead of that most of this holiday will likely be anything but relaxing. With the exception of tomorrow, I'm probably going to be moving nonstop all weekend. Sunday I may be going to Mom's to do Christmas prep, then Christmas Eve day I'm spending with Dad, then Christmas day is with Mom, then Wednesday I'm going to Missouri to see Grandpa. Hmm, maybe I should've asked for Thursday off as well as Wednesday.

I really have some of the most amazing coworkers: between the lot of them, I've already had an awesome Christmas haul, and I won't have to bake or set foot in Bath and Body Works until I'm 30. ;) Loads of homemade goodies: cookies, pumpkin bread, peanut butter-dipped pretzel sticks, marshmallow-chocolate chip cookie bars, rice krispie treats, peach jam, pecan caramel popcorn, even a pair of beautiful potholders. (A lot of that was all actually from the same person, amazingly, who put together HUGE goodie bags with all this for everyone in the office.) Got plenty of chocolate candy and a gift set of ice cream toppings, too. :) Then on the bath side I got Mango Mandarin lotion/bubble bath/shower gel, Warm Vanilla Sugar shimmer lotion and bubble bath, and Sweet Pea lotion and shower gel. Actually, forget 30 - my grandkids will probably be using the stuff I got this week! Hell, I still haven't finished getting through the vanilla bath set I got last year. One thing's for sure - I'm going to smell damn good for a long time. ;D

Last year I grumbled about the problem I have with Hallmark this time of year - it hasn't changed. They simply don't seem to have much, if anything, for families like mine. I think I saw maybe one card each for "Dad and Wife" and "Mom and Husband," and maybe two for a Grandpa (as opposed to about a dozen for Grandmas - WTF is with the bias?). Makes me hate buying cards all the more.

Christmas is so close - which means my Florida trip (January 6th) is even closer. W00T!
