Passion is probably my favorite Buffy episode ever (damn near the top, at any rate) for largely one reason.

The scene where Angelus is watching through the window when Buffy and Willow find out about Jenny's death. One of the most visceral scenes in the entire series (though Passion as a whole is pretty damn visceral - with scenes like this, Angelus stalking Buffy, and where Giles finds Jenny's corpse gruesomely displayed in his bed).

If there's any doubt remaining in the viewer's mind of what an evil, sadistic fuck Angelus is before this point, it all evaporates here. The fact that he knows Giles is going to call Buffy and is camped outside her house waiting for it, then the increasing glee on his face as he sees their shock, disbelief, and (as he would put it) the 'ecstacy' of their grief. He gets off on it. He has no need to go in the house and torture/kill them; he was content simply making/seeing them suffer.

Damn.

Then one of my favorite Buffy/Giles moments in the series. After she rescues him from Angelus, he asks what on earth she was doing there, and she slugs him, immediately tearing up. Then she collapses on her knees and embraces him, and they sit there rocking and crying into one another's shoulders...

Hard to believe I'd almost forgotten how much Buffy rocked, especially in its old school days.
