Nothing really coherent about this, just random musings while viewing.
-- Should've known it was too good to be true (so to speak) to have Logan's half-brother be played by... Logan (well, Matt Czuchry). Still was amusing while it lasted, though. During the commercial break after the first scene with him I called and told my sister about the two Logans and she was OMGEEE!, but I haven't had the heart to call her back since and tell her they weren't really brothers. Eh well. ;) Even when she does watch the episode, her brain will still melt from having the two of them on her screen together. She has this thing with guys named Logan, apparently. (Thanks to VM, Gilmore Girls, and X-Men.)
-- And again in weird crossover land: I completely forgot Laura San Giacomo and Enrico Colantoni were on Just Shoot Me together. Back when I first started watching VM, Enrico was "that guy from JSM," but now he's so irrevocably Keith in my mind I forgot I even saw him anywhere before VM.
-- As a Buffy fan the name "Harmony Chase" amused me, and for a spazzy moment when I first saw the credits I even forgot that Charisma's character ion VM was not named Chase and half-thought "so Charisma had a friend on Buffy named Harmony and now she has a mom named Harmony here?" Fortunately, the spaz lasted only half a second.
-- Hmm. So Mac finally being added to the credits just means they don't have to use her anymore? ;) (Hopefully Rob Thomas isn't going the same route Joss Whedon did, finally adding Amber Benson to the Buffy credits the same episode her character was killed off.) Another episode with no her and no Wallace, and no Weevil. No Piz, either. This really is the "Logan and Veronica" show now. Bring the others back, please? VM works better as an ensemble, not a duo.
-- I generally find mega-feminist characters irritating and largely unsympathetic, and the group on this show's no exception.
-- What was with that stupid teaser from last week? You'd think the episode centered on the Awkward Dinner With Dad and Boyfriend, but that was about 20 seconds of the episode (and not that entertaining a 20 seconds, really).
-- Finally, some Logan angst! I miss seeing Jason Dohring do fuckedupwithbaggage!Logan, though it was in smaller doses here than in season 1. The "long lost sibling" plot's hardly an original, but Aaron was skeezy enough that it makes some sense.
Overall, I think I found last week's The Office more entertaining - not that VM isn't entertaining, it's just not to the level of intensity that first drew me into the show.
