Haven't gotten sucked into the ether

Hey all!

Still here! Just haven't had all that much to write about of late.

It's been damp here. Damp enough gills would be helpful.

Our cars are old. One won't pass it's emissions inspection. So, we're contemplating going down to one car and maybe getting zip car for the times when we want another car.

I'm dancing with Ishtar this weekend. I'm working on a veil piece for Misirlou (the one I worked on for Laurel's class this past winter) and I think it'll be good.

I've started working on pieces for next SPX. I've got a series of minicomics based on misplaced mustaches planned out. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to draw them or hand carved rubber stamps and stamp them. Maybe I'll do some of each.

Cemetery Potluck is fast approaching and I need to ramp up my work on it.

I've been working on lots of scarves of late. I've gotten two completed in the last month and a third is nearly done.

I finished up another one of my recycled t-shirt skirts. It's black, purple, and royal blue.

School is going along okay for the kidlet. So far her grades are better and the reporting is going better (more teachers are using the school's on-line system to better effect) so at least I know farther ahead when things are going pear-shaped. She's also interested in after school activities and wants to join the cartooning club and the hiking club.

Scott is working on lots of art. His show at the local Starbucks didn't result in any sales but people seemed to like it.

We're planning on going to the Pa. ren fair with friends Oct. 9th.

We're in the last season of the new Battlestar Galactica. So far, so good. They've done a good job going darker without bumping people out of character. Gaius Baltar is really annoying and he'll sleep with any woman that'll bat her eyelashes at him.

So, really, we've just been going along, doing stuff, and not having anything overwhelmingly noteworthy. Though after August's earthquake, hurricane, yellow jacket stings, and other health issues, I'm pretty happy to have a quiet month.
