How fun! :D I meant to snag this from Mel too, but haven't had a chance. And I still have a reading meme from you to finish. *hangs head in shame*

Ooh! I have a little paperback of Twenty and Ten that I got years ago, too, though I still haven't read it. :">

I like some Christies---like her Tommy and Tuppence books---but others have left me rather underwhelmed or even hating them. So, I understand a love-hate relationship with her. :)

Hehe, I read LotR when I was young, too. I think 10? But that was with my dad reading it to us when we were little and with a false start a few months before I actually read it. (I got stuck in "Shortcut to Mushrooms" oddly enough. It was because I was trying to read it in the car and was feeling carsick, and so didn't find it all that interesting, I think...)
Well, Dickens can be fun! When he's not being horribly depressing that is. :P
(Speaking of which, it looks like you recently read Little Dorrit? :D ( ... )

Aw, don't beat yourself up about it! : P I'm sure that, like everyone else, you've got a lot going on!

Twenty and Ten is a quick, sweet little book you should definitely read if at any time you find yourself finished reading your on hand library books. ;D

Another Christie non-fan! I'm feeling less and less weird. : D

Exactly on Dickens. He wrote with a great sense of humor but he also packs quite the emotional punch.
I'm actually still working on Little Dorrit. Just haven't been posting quotes (until that one I put up yesterday). It is very good.

: )

Promised is the last one, yes. I'm waiting for my library's copy to come in.

Neat! Is there any Swede blood in your family, or did someone just stumble upon the books and decide they would be intersting to have?

Yay! And I know which two. (You have read Entwined, right?) Do look into the other two! They're very worth reading.

I'm glad they liked it. My sisters and I thought it was pretty fun too. : D Did you write it down?
Thanks for your comments on my tumblr

*coughs* Yeah...there is a lot going on with courses, research, and such. :P

Welll...I just checked out some more library books. XD But I read through them already (graphic novels, I guess, by Shannon Hale and her husband, and another unrelated Hale), and am working my way through some of the other books. :) So, hopefully eventually!

I'm pretty sure there are some other NWebbers who agree with you about Christie not being all she's cracked up to be. ;))

Mmhmm. Ooh, yes, I'm enjoying the quotes you've been putting up on tumblr. :D I really enjoyed Little Dorrit, so I'm glad you're liking it too ( ... )

Whoo. It's been a while since I took care of things on LJ. (once again...) Meanwhile, you and Mel got on tumblr! A nice surprise.

Heh, I know about strategically planning your reading. I almost didn't finish Little Dorrit before it ran overdue.

The Italian PC was picked up by some family visiting Italy, yes. My sibs and I are 1/4 Italian, so while we haven't personally been, our parents and other relations have.

I'm sorry you didn't like Azalea. On the whole, the author did a great job giving personality to so many girls.
Great! : )

Sounds fun. I can kinda make it out - hints anyways! : D Fickle is a great description of many part-time writers. : P

Hehe, I know how that goes. ;)
Yes, we did! :D We planned it out and capitulated together. ;)) Though I really haven't done tons yet. :P

Oooooh! I need to request right now if there's any hope of books coming in for Christmas break. XD Thanks for the reminder. ;))
Well, I'm glad you managed to finish Little Dorrit in time. ;)) What'd you think of the ending ( ... )

Re - Azalea: okay, I think I understand your opinion of her better now. To be honest, because I'm and oldest Azalea reminds me of me, somewhat, and I probably wouldn't have told Bramble much just to try to keep her safe/and to keep from unnecessarily putting her through what I would be going through. Annnnd that would obviously be a poor choice, since as a mature young person she/you/my sister would resent not being trusted and relied upon! : P The perils of sisterhood! :D

Well, apparently Thor and Loki are immigrants who've left their father and other family back in Europe somewhere. Loki, the villain, is a either trying to steal Tony Stark's factory/business empire, or Loki has an evil mining empire and Stark is trying use inventions to break Loki's monopoly. Thor is torn between his brother and his inventor friend.
I think Natasha Romanov is probably the circus or conwoman who finds herself aiding Stark with her unique and useful skills. Also on the team are big-city boy Steve Rogers, Clint Barton (a down-on-his-luck coal ( ... )

Yeah, I figure my elder sister would have a different outlook on Azalea too. ;)) It's just that Azalea already shared everything else with Bramble (and I think Clover?), so it would've made sense for her to share the rest of this too. And it there'd been more than her going down, I'm pretty sure they could've gotten out of the situation easier. ;)) Plus, it would've been the perfect opportunity for some sisterly teamwork and saving the day, and those are so hard to find.
And, yes, not trusting is obviously a bad choice. ;) ;)) The perils of sisterhood indeed! :D

Hehe...well, you're partially right. The first part is right, and you've pretty much got Natasha figured out. Granted, it probably doesn't really line up right since it's based on what I think Avengers is about, and not what it's actually about (...I think one of the Narnia directors said something like that, and it turned out horribly...hopefully it'll make for good fanfic at least?). ;)) *tries to think of some other tidbits to share* I'm pretty sure Stark gets roped in and ( ... )

The literary world can definitely use more sisterly save-the-day teamwork. The real world too, for that matter.

If you're trying to hit all the cliches, write someone as half Native American - maybe Bruce Banner? (I can't believe I left him out of my summary above! I guess because he's not in the graphic...)

Very true. :) Both need just strong sibling teamwork in general, but it's even harder to find sisterly examples. :P

There's an idea! Thanks, I'll consider it. :) I might be able to make it work, though I'd have to be pretty careful; my sister pointed out that's kind of a tricky subject to handle, and I'd hate cause offense with a fanfic. But, like I said, if I could get it right, it'd work. :)

*pops in to mention that she grabbed Twenty and Ten from the library last week* I think I had read it before, but it was nice to read it again. It takes, like, 30 minutes to devour...

Mmhmm, it's very tiny! I just need to dig it up and slip it in my backpack amongst everything else. I'm still chipping away at The Hobbit, too...
