Questions answered:
1. What is your favorite season?
Late spring, after all the snow and mud is gone and the leaves and plants are growing green.
2. Peanut butter or jelly?
Peanut butter. You can eat it with so many other foods, while I consider jelly rather overly sweet.
3. Is there a song that means something to you? What is it?
Britt Nicole's
The Lost Get Found:
Why do you go with the flow
Why take the easier road
Why are you playing it safe?
...
Don't let your lights go down
Don't let your fire go out
Somewhere somebody needs
A reason to believe.
...
Don't be afraid to stand out!
That's how the lost get found.
This song inspires and reminds me of how Christians need to be living in order to reach nonbelievers with the truth.
4. Can you recite your favorite poem?
Mh. I'm not sure if I have a favorite. There are quite a few I like, however. Oh - one of those higher on the list is Nothing Gold Can Stay, by Robert Frost:
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower
But only so an hour.
Thn leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay
Which I can recite.
5. Is there a job you wouldn't do, even if it was your only chance of getting a job?
Lots of jobs that are immoral/unethical in some way - the first thing that came to mind was working at an abortion clinic.
6. Groundhogs or gophers?
Ooh. Er... groundhogs.
7. Do you like coffee tables?
Yes, they're quite useful. Especially when placed where one can't trip over them in the dark.
8. Do coffee tables like you?
Yes, we generally get along pretty well. Particularly the ones I've known since childhood - I've often played tent underneath, with blankets draped over the top.
9. What is the funniest book you've ever read?
Not counting comic books - probably something by Richard Peck! Specifically A Year Down Yonder.
10. Can you tell a joke or carry a tune in a bucket?
I can carry a tune - either in a rather low voice or in a more tuneful whistle. But I can't tell jokes. They fall flat.
11. East or west?
Westward to the setting sun. East if I lived in Narnia, though.
