state of emergency...is where i want to be... says bjork in the "To Go" mix of Joga. Feeling very mellow right now. Parents arrived, saw the dig, got the tour. But they aren't all about the privilige thing...which is kind of nice. My dad actually said that the site itself wasn't really so amazing in the grand scheme of things. Maybe he's right. It is kind of puffed up for the wrong reasons. But then he was talking about Cactus Hill, which they think is pre-clovis, and he thinks that's really important. But you could just as easily say it's not, that it can't be pre-clovis, and thus isn't as important. So, I don't know that I have a good respones to that yet. Will think on it.
Hotboy called! Yayness. He sounded sad...like he didn't know what to say. He thought I might be worried. I am pretty good though. I am very happy with where I am, figuratively I mean, at the moment.
Tomorrow we are going grocery shopping for lunch, then we are going to carters grove, and then to the beach. Then dinner at a seafood place. Raw Oysters! Yeah! I suppose that might be more meaningful if I wasn't dining with my parents, but ok, I will "save it for laaaater" as that 80's song says :) Very much looking forward to the future. Just wicked a lot!
