The first time Emily woke up she was in a coffin, and she hurt. All that she remembers after that is the pain in her lungs and screaming until she felt like she might explode. The second time Emily wakes up she is in a hospital room, alone. There is no IV, no beeping machines, not even a visitor’s chair, just her, a bed, and large black window. She still hurt.

At this point all parts of the body have been recovered, from both the original site of implosion and the coffin. Case 001 is being monitored with the agreement of her guardians. The body has immediately reassimilated all missing parts, with out any sort of surgical intervention as soon as they are within a 100 yard range which has presented slight problems.
We are no closer to finding the cause of the incident.
The feeling started in her lungs, they ached like there was no oxygen in the air, and then her body started to feel swollen and heavy. Next there were pins and needles everywhere. She exploded two more times before anyone came to see her.

Parents have confirmed that there have been no unusual circumstances in the day to day life of 001. no extraordinary accidents or mishaps. Both agreed to testing, results completely average. No sign of any mutation or defect. Tests for 001 returned today as well all normal expect for single mutation. Further investigation is already underway. The subject has stopped sleeping as regularly, has begun to wander the room, touch mirror, look under bed. Ate all given food. 001 asked to see parents and shortly afterward became very uncomfortable. Within 5 minutes she had undergone combustion again. Reforming in less than 2 hours this time. Still appears to have no control over incidents.
Her mommy looked afraid. This made sense though because she had exploded again when the lady who had interviewed her before said her parents where going to see her. Emily wasn’t sure if her mom was afraid of her or for her though. Mom hugged her just as tight as always though. They didn’t leave until Emily was sleeping.
< Emily Bradshaw had been completely unprecedented, which in the case of human mutation is a rather mind boggling prospect. There was no nuclear fallout or accident, no radioactive spider, no near death trauma that had required shady transplants from dodgy donors. She was a completely unremarkable ten year old girl up until that point in her life. But normal ten year old girls don’t spontaneously combust and regenerate with in a matter of hours.
Emily became irrelevant and Case 001 was born. She was held in isolation for observation, for approximately 20 months from the time of exhumation. 3 months after the original incident, 2 other girls in the same age range also began exhibiting the same symptoms one in Germany and the other in Malaysia. The latter girl had to be removed under duress from her home, it was suspected that abuse since the onset of her condition had taken place. From that point on there was a veritable opening of the floodgates as children around the world began exhibiting abnormal uncontrollable and in some cases dangerous abilities. There were trends to the outbreak of course but science and academia remained inconclusive on all but two things.
In returning to Case 001 for evidence it was discovered that a single mutation leading to an extra viable chromosome set was the apparent culprit. All of the children who were subsequently tested also had this mutation and indeed in seems that over 90 percent of the children born since 2011 have this genetic mutation whether or not they exhibit out ward abilities.
The second discovery was that there appeared to be a definitive calendar that these mutations follow. A study of the original 7,840,000 children who exhibited supernatural abilities worldwide in the year following the original incident with Emily Bradshaw showed that the majority of children born within a 24 hour range would share the same ability. The few children who did not tended toward and ability with 48 -72 hours of their birth.>
