A peice of art for Day 10.


In school, other Nigerians my age told me that my name, being an americanized one, and the fact that I was never taught to speak my parents native languages meant that I was "less Nigerian" than them. this is not true.




Not wearing my heritage on my sleeve or proclaiming it on my ID makes me no less of a Nigerian than you, nor does it make me any less proud of who I am.
