a. i posted my list of media consumed in 2013 finally, and woah boy, i'd totally forgotten some shows from earlier in the year. i also just stopped watching some shows completely randomly and i should catch up on them at some point. others i'm glad i stopped wasting time on, haha.
b. i am looking for my next kdrama after "master's sun". it was a truly excellent show, and i'd definitely rate it among my top 10 shows of 2013. it's a ghost story crossed with a romcom and has an excellent set of characters, ESPECIALLY the main female lead, who i just adore. she has some amazing character growth, and you just want to CHEER at how amazingly intuitive, independent and confident she is at the end compared with the start of the series. the male lead is also an AMAZING combination of grumpy, self confident and infatuated. LOOK JUST WATCH IT SO WE CAN SHOUT ABOUT IT TOGETHER.
c. I FINISHED FRINGE!!!!!!! *rips shirts* *shouts* *cries* *SHOUTS SOME MORE ABOUT LINCOLN/OLIVIA IN EVERY UNIVERSE* if any of you care please come talk about it with me. if any of you don't, i'm sorry about my tumblr, lol.
d. shows i am sort of concurrently watching:
- farscape
- full metal alchemist: brotherhood
- hart of dixie
a somewhat eclectic mix but good for switching genres when i'm getting bored.
e. I STILL HAVEN'T READ ANY YULETIDE FICS. tbh i haven't even finished mischief and miseltoe fics yet, bcs i keep getting distracted. terrible!!!!!!!
f. i have a lot of feelings about the latest episode of elementary!!! LIKE WOW, JUST WHEN I THOUGHT I COULD HANDLE MY SHERLOCK/MORIARTY FEELS? i shouldn't LIKE that they both see each other as perfect equals, that they're "different" (or "better"?) from other people and always will be. i think the episode was trying to convey that both of them operate in a sphere where their actions have consequences (solving crimes/committing crimes). sherlock is slowly learning to appreciate what his actions mean and wanting to be better, whilst moriarty could be capable of the same but will never want to. (the episode sort of questions that re: sherlock, but honestly i hope she doesn't. because sometimes people change and sometimes people can't, and i don't think moriarty truly wants to be different. she will always want sherlock to be more like her, not be more like him.) and the use of "crooked kind" by radical face didn't help at all.
g. watched the new eps of community season 5, and am unable to really make any inferences as to quality. i enjoyed them lampshading a couple of things (britta's random character trajectory, donald glover leaving etc) and i REALLY liked annie setting jeff straight in 5x02. when he came out of his class and said "please don't cry!!!!!!!!" [i'm sorry i'm a jerk!!!!!] i did smile a little. and just straight up: so much improvement character wise from s4. however, i didn't like shirley essentially blacksliding with andre and i'm not even sure where her character is going or even if it's new character progression? idk, i just wished she got more focus especially since pierce has stopped sucking up so much screentime. i AM enjoying jonathan bank's as a criminology professor because in my mind, it's totally mike from breaking bad on the run haha. also he's adorable ngl, especially in the episode tag for 5x02.
