[There's the familiar (to some) sound of the TARDIS coming to a stop and blurry motion, as if the person holding the device is moving at a quick pace.]
This isn't right...
[It comes to a stop and is set on a console... only it
looks a little different.
So does Romana for that matter, but she's more concerned about checking the dials and displays than

R-Romana?
[And Rose is leaving her room and walking towards the console room to investigate. There's a gasp.]
Blimey. The TARDIS is--
Didn't think--
[There's a scream cuz guess who spotted the steampunk Dalek.]
Alright. This isn't funny. At all.

Lovely, prop Daleks. What next?
Reply
Cybermen? No wait. Let's not think that. Right.
Decided in a change of clothes?

[Romana turns back to Rose after prodding the Dalek some more.]
Clothes-? Oh, these. [She looks down and smooths the skirt a little.] I imagine my entire closet's full of clothes like this - the City tends to be quite thorough about these things.

Ah. Guess I got spared.
[Another careful glance at the Dalek just in case before her attention is back on the Time Lady.
Hope there aren't other rooms full of those...Do the clothes always stick around after?
Reply
It happens that way sometimes. Some people affected, some not.
[She looks down at the boots and stockings she's wearing.]
Not usually, after most curses whatever's been transformed is restored.

You know, I bet those are great for running.
[The console catches her attention and she approaches running her hand along a panel. She's still amazed and confused.]
But the TARDIS...She's never changed before this, yeah?
Reply
Oh, yes, the running. And the trampling through swamps and forests and castles...
[She joins Rose at the console, checking a few gauges.]
Yes and no. I've never seen her change for a curse, but she has changed. They way you know her, green and gold and, well, organic-looking? That's nothing like she was when I first traveled in her.

[She gives Romana an amused smirk and focuses now on the screen seeing what's outside. Another confirmation. A beach. Attention is returned to Romana as she tries not to let the fact that they've landed on beach bother her.]
I always thought she looked like that. He never really...So, what did it look like before?
Reply
A bit more like this, less brass, more blinking lights, straight lines, solid floors... crisp and precise if that makes any sense.
[She shakes herself back from the memory and looks again at Rose.]
And I already have a prince of a sort, why would I need a castle?
Reply
It does.
[A curious look appears on Rose's face for a moment.]
Oh, yeah? Is he handsome? What's he like? Dunno. Why not a castle? It's cozy.
Reply
[She smiles and blushes a bit.]
He's one of a kind, I don't know what I'd do without him here.
Reply
[There's a bit of a surprise to her expression and she laughs but then grins.]
Sounds like quite the bloke. So where's he from?
Reply
Tony Stark, he owns City Solutions, where I work, it's how we met.
...he's human, from Earth, from about the same time you're from although not from the same world.

[She beams at her still ever so curious.]
How sweet. So modern too. Well that's good. And how long has he been your Prince for?
Reply
[Romana leans a bit on the main console as she thinks.]
Goodness, six months now since our first evening out? Seven if you count... well six.
