Mickey is standing pretty far away from Romana, but can hear her whisper clearly, it's as if it was said through a microphone.

"Thinking and relationships. They don't really go well together."

Romana shook herself, easing her expression. Couldn't do to let someone see her like this, waiting for someone who was only going to leave her.

It takes her a moment to recognize the voice as she looked around for the man who was speaking.

"Mickey?"

As soon as Mickey saw that she noticed him, he approached her.

"But then you move on with your life. That's how things go."

She's disoriented, all night it's been Tony over and over and now all of a sudden there was Mickey.

"I'm sorry, what are you talking about?"

"Relationships," he echoed his first reaction.

"It's no good sticking around for one person, trying to convince them you're the right one for them. Trust me. I know. You've gotta move on."

She looked back to where Tony's appeared, oh so many times tonight. "Then what's the point of doing it at all, Mickey? If it's all going to fall apart anyway?"

"I don't know."

He inhaled deeply and looked around, absently.

"Guess it's nice while it lasts."

[lady_wandering]

"It...was." It hurts to use the past tense.

[lovingmybamfgun]

"Well, that's good then."

Mickey didn't really know what else to say. Relationships still confused the hell out of him.

"Focus on that. A nice past. Don't forget the good times."
