Tony was glad to be free of his own nightmare, although he didn't exactly know that's what was happening to him. All he knew is that he saw a series of events between himself and Romana that weren't real. That would never happen.
When she was left by herself on the street he walked up quietly behind her and placed a hand on her arm.
She stiffened at the touch, now he was coming to her to send her off? Or perhaps so he could actually die in her arms instead of from a distance? Either way, she couldn't do it, she couldn't lose him anymore tonight.
"Please no, not again." She whispered, her head falling and her hair covering her face.
She remained stiff in his arms, unwilling to relax, to think that there was anyway for this to end any better than any of the other encounters that night.
"You might. There's nothing to stop you, certainly nothing I can do."
"Is that really what you think of me?" Tony asked, giving her a small hug. "That I would just up and leave you? That my feelings for you are that shallow?"
"Well I know what I feel, and I feel so much for you," he reassured her, frowning at how bothered she was by this. How could he let her know how much he cared for her?
"I know how you feel Tony, I've been sharing your bed for weeks now." Romana began to tremble lightly, trying not to show him how much this place was hurting her.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tony asked, trying to keep any sort of accusatory tone out of his voice. He would hope by now she wouldn't think that was all there was to him.
"You're upset at times, frustrated, but you rarely tell me why unless I ask you straight out. You just show up and expect that I'll make you feel better. Don't you trust me?"
She took a step out of his arms but didn't look up at him, instead she turned away. "Are you waiting for someone from your world to talk to? Someone you loved there. Perhaps someone you loved here to come back?"
[ooc: assume the not talking part is exaggerated per that other thing we talked about.]
"I-" Tony started to say and then stopped. She had a valid point. Sort of. He didn't realize she felt so used.
"I don't like to share things with anyone," he told her, his voice quiet. "It's a problem I have. And when I'm with you I do feel better. I didn't mean to make you feel used, Romana. Because it's not like that. And I'm not waiting for anyone. I don't want anyone but you."
When she was left by herself on the street he walked up quietly behind her and placed a hand on her arm.
"Romana..."

She wants to trust him, let him hold her and soothe away the feelings she's having.

"I do mean it," he said, leaning forward to kiss her. "I'm surprised you stayed with me this whole time."
Reply
"Of course I stayed, you're worth it to me."

"I'm glad you feel that way," he said. "You're worth it to me too. I'd never leave you-"
He never got a chance to finish it though as he popped suddenly out of her dream.

"No, he said he...he wouldn't. He...TONY!!!" She looked around frantically, but just as before there was no sign, no sign that he's ever been there.
With a cry, she fell to her knees, burying her face in her hands.
