Hello, dears! How is it going?
I'm realizing this is my first (icon) post of the year, though I have made several graphics for various icontests but I haven't yet posted them here: I hope I'll remember to post them asap!
This is my first entry for

There's a strong noir vibe in all these, and I like that you're one of the few participants who made the counterintuitive, risky choice to use extra vibrant colors in some of these. The neons in 11-13 look stunning and the texture work and cap choices still keep them distinctly in the noir realm! I particularly love the animated sparkles in 11 and the composition/texture use in 12.
Also wooow at the shadows and lighting in 4-8. They all have incredible depth. Also I love the entire look on 6 so much, especially the animated smoke and the obscuring hat. Perfect noir icon is perfect. I also love the grittiness and animation in 20.
Last but not least I truly adore 9, the vintage-style coloring looks stellar and the texture gives it a really great composition.
Awesome work with this set, I could never tell you had to make some of them fast!

I'm so relieved that you relate about the time in making icons! I agree with you: 5 is my maximum and, as you said, I have to dedicate them the whole day or just be super inspired!
About the neon colored icons, I was just getting bored with all those dark icons and I was inspired both by neo-noir aesthetics and by the glamour & fashion of the era. So I'm very happy that you like them!
I'm also happy that you appreciate the chiaroscuro ones, because, as I said, I just love this technique and the icons made in this style.
Thank you so much for all your praises and I really hope I can enter again in the future: your words really helped! Gah, the next challenge seems so creative and interesting!
