Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

Last weekend was spent mostly watching films. Which generally makes me happy, but this was more than pleasurable. :-)

First of all I got to see Labyrinth (1986). And besides the obvious OMG!Isolovetolittlebitsandpieces response... I'm a bit divided. On the one hand, I'm sorry that I never knew about it's existence as a child (well, after all - it ( Read more... )

oh, that you remember...? Yeah, I was kinda surprised myself when it came up, first not paying more than average attention to the scene, thinking it was between Alan's "wife" and her brother but then I went OMG! It's nekkid!Alan there!!! *goes wide-eyed* The way I remember it, you can't see the his face until some time into the scene, so...

It's really stupid and annoying, but I bought this dvd that just quit functioning after a while into the film, dunno why or how to fix it - so I bought it *again* last autumn, but haven't watched it yet. For an Alan freak like me, I guess it's the not-watching-part that's weird - not the owning-2-copies-of-the-same-film. That's just perfectly normal. :-D I've also got 2 copies of "Judas Kiss" (one dvd and one video tape), 'cause you know, what if one of them goes kaputt..?! :-P

The icon - do you mean this one? Why that's the lovely Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (or just Gibbs) and the equally lovely Forensics specialist Abby Sciuto (or just Abby)! :-D Also known as my OTP in "NCIS", originally a spin off on "JAG", which looks like this low budget series but which actually is pure gold! In some respects it's a lot like House, the way it's claiming to be focused - on the outset - on murders/disappearances/crime relating to the Navy (like House is built around medical cases) but it's actual focus is the internal relationships among the co-workers; a.k.a Gibbs and his team (like that of House and his team). If you're *at all* into sarcasm, playful bantering among friends and co-workers and like to see strong women who can hold their own - this is the show for you! :-D

Just remember... I saw Gibbs first. :-P

Ahaha, that's the same exact thing that happened with me. I was just kinda like, "Meh..... .. .... ALAN!!! *Proceeds to drool*"

I know what you mean about owning more than one copy of something; I myself have many copies of random Bowie things! My mom thinks I'm crazy. But, feh.. what does she know?

Yes, that's the icon I meant. :) I've never heard of that show, but it sounds like I'd enjoy it! Sarcasm is one of my favourite things, so I'll definitely have to check it out. ;)
