Reminiscing...

Dec 20, 2004 13:51

Those who reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreally know me know that I never really let go of old/past Fandom's and OTP's. Sooooo...I was hunting around for stuff on Jason Isaacs, who I have not heard about for suuuuuuuuch a long time it was totally buggin', and I decided to go into GloomyGusdotOrg. Found out that last Thanksgiving, he sent a letter to Martyne, Kay (over at Jason's Fanzone) and Minx (Unoffically Yours, Jason Isaacs). Wheeees! for him, he's still so sweet, and adorable and witty. So yeah...long letter which I can't post here coz I didn't bother to ask for permission can be found here. Such a sweet guy, I swear to God.

Speaking of Jason Isaacs...this month marks the one year anniversary of Pining For Jason Isaacs, which is something we Jason's Angels (est. July 2003) were doing a lot of. This same month, one year ago, Peter Pan came out in the cinemas in the US and Australia. Me being the only Jason's Angel from Asia, I was the only one left to suffer the Pining. The Philippines didn't get Peter Pan until April 2004. But I'd seen the movie already, harhar. [Never underestimate the joys that can be garnered from Piracy, which is generally bad.] And I remember saying for months on end how great Jason was as Captain Hook and Mr Darling. Jason as Cpt. Hook spewed many an R-Rated Hook fics from moi, all of which at one point were up on FF.N. Some stupid prick reported one or two of them, so they're no longer complete. Bollocks.

So, yeah, it was Jason all the way into May. And then my sister got the TTT:EE from her friend who had gone to the States. She had asked her to go get it for her, and so when the friend came back...ooohhhdeeeeerguuuud. I watched with her the special features, and could hardly understand what Sean Bean was doing there in the Special Features, he wasn't even supposed to be in the movie. Stupid me didn't think at the time that he might be in the extended cut...

And then David Wenham came along. Yipe. I was in lurve all over again. I didn't drop Jason completely, never did, don't intend to, but when a problem comes along, you must whip it (WAKISHK!), whip it good. So yeah, David was The Guy until around...July.

Maybe it was because I was watching too much of the TTT:EE. Maybe it was because I listened too many times to their commentaries. Or maybe it's because I stumbled upon bobbi's wonderful website, StarDOM and saw the most incredible picture of Dom, face half hidden by the fedora hat on his head which he was tilting downwards with his hand. Geh.

And of course, if you like Dom, you can't avoid liking Billy. It's a two-for-the-price-of-one deal. And so, I became immersed in the world that is Monaboyd. And so, for a loooooooong time, to this day, I am in lurve with the both of them. Together. And separate.

Somehow, I managed to separate them. It's a bit of a crime, but hey, it's for the love of them. How did I do that? I bought me a copy of "Master and Commander" and watched Billy kick total ass with a sword. And that look on his face...meeeeeeelt.

Then I saw "Bumblee Flies Anyway" on cable. And fell in love with Elijah. All over again. I'd had a crush on him since I saw Flipper, then it just kind of went away on its own. Then BFA shows, and I'm like, "OOOOOOOH! He cute!" So yeah...I was 3/4 away from being a total hobbit perv. To indulge my Elijah cravings, me bought "Try Seventeen". Phwoar. He cute. Teh Franka was Great, Mandy Moore was a little off, but still so great, and BOLLOX that Teh Lij and Teh Franka didn't last as Teh Lij And Franka very long. Phwell...

Then I started downloading Sean Astin vids along with DomBillyandElijah vids. And then I learned he was also in "50 First Dates." So...what did I do? I went out and bought "50 First Dates." And totally loved him there, he was adorable, and funny, and what the hell, he's fucking built, innhe? Just not too sure I like the ass shots, though...so there. Then I became a full-fledged Hobbit fancier. Which I remain to be today.

Somewhere along the line, LOST reared its stellar head, and turned me into a puddle of goo by casting Dom in it and giving him a guitar to play and a very pretty, pregnant Aussie Girl to flirt with. Hee. I don't get Lost here yet, don't know when I will, probably some time in April, all things considered, but hey! That's why the internet is sooooo cool! And now, I am convinced that if Dom and Billy cannot be with each other, Emilie should dump her boyf and go for Dom instead, coz they're damn cute, ya hurr?

...All this because my sister was taking a year-ender survey on Friendster...

I love reminiscing about the past year like this, don't ya? That's just from one angle of my life, the others...

...are boring.

I swear.
