It was still early on the morning of Christmas when Soulfire went down to the first floor. Her bare feet made hardly any sound, but the professor was certain many of the students were still soundly asleep. She knew, however, that one student might be still awake or already awake

Long story short, the girl was indeed awake, looked like she had been for quite sometime, seeing as she was disheveled, and bore dark circles under her eyes. Not exactly the picture of Holiday Cheer.

"Still awake," the fairy reported once she'd wriggled herself through the keyhole again. "I doubt she has even slept for a day or two."
"Hm, I already thought so," Soulfire replied softly. "I detected a lot of sorrow from her post. Maybe I can help her." The witch sighed, but then smiled warmly again and knocked on the door. If only she could help to lift the problems from the girl's shoulders...

Oh man I just have to fangirl this couple 'cause...I dunno, actually, but I do. And partial nudity + unexpected company is I think one of my favourite ways for a relationship to become apparent. Also picturing Dayenne doing the sleepymumble thing is adorable.
Didn't bother to sign out of my personal journal, oops >_>
