Sometimes Sakura can't help but clutch the frame and sob uncontrollably. It happens sometimes, perhaps after a mission. She will smile at Shikamaru, scold Naruto and quietly pad to her house.

She breathes in the stale air and feel the ache in her chest, before collapsing on the bed. She's not happy and she's begun to figure out she never will be.

Perhaps she's happier unhappy.

After a while she is able to walk to Ino's shop and lean on the counter while Ino busily wraps bouqets. Her hair covers her face and she feels grateful for the shadows of the evening.

"It happened again."

She is mildy surprised at how raspy her voice sounds and coughs to clear her chest. She can hear Ino sigh a little before she continues to work.

"I guessed."

Sakura closes her eyes, (raw and puffy) and knows that Ino doesn't have to look at her to see. Her hair is dishevled, nose red, and stance broken. Sakura is the utter picture of despair.

Ino wills the excitement out of her voice and waves toward the back room. Hot blood courses through her body as she asks softly,

"Want to lie down?"

"Yeah...Ino--" Sakura hangs her head.

Ino smiles gently at the tulips in front of her.

"I'll be there in a moment."

She hears Sakura quietly enter the back room and fixes the out to lunch sign on her counter. Ino methodically closes the blinds, and locks the door and finally,finally, slips into the room.

Sakura is there, green eyes wide and mouth so delightfully open.

It troubles her slightly, as she slips Sakura's clothes off and kisses her mouth, it troubles her how much she enjoys comforting a friend. Ino runs her hands through Sakura's hair and deepens the kiss.

It troubles her more about the wishes she makes. The ones that will Naruto and Sasuke to stay away and never come back.
