Went to Chicago on Tuesday. Omgcultureshock. I know about big cities, and whatnot, and I've driven through them before, but I never actually walked down the sidewalk of one, or used the subway in Chicago (which we did, gah, it was hot, in a bad way). Also used the train (to get there and back) and the bus. Twas fun. Didn't have enough money to buy anything expensive and pretty. Gah.
I basically spent the whole time at the Art Institute with my mom and her cousin (my second cousin). It was brilliant. I <3 the Art Institute. People who work there=bitches, but hey, they're just doing they're job. They had an hour long exhibit on Suerat, it was 'The Making of La Grande Jatte'. Impressionasts rule. And omgBotticelli! They had Botticelli paintings. Yeah!
We were looking at Renaissance paintings, and they're was this dark haired/dark skinned guy in a v. tight shirt, and this guy in a blue shirt that looked kind of like the lead singer of Coldplay, and the tight shirt guy had his chin on the other guys shoulder, and it teh cute. It looked kind of cool because they were standing in the corner in front of a huge painting (um, I forgot what artist. I just know it was of the Ascension), and it was just cool perspective wise.
Went shopping yesterday at the mall. Wasn't horribly scary. They have Hot Topic and Limited Too right next to each other. Haha that's stupid but funny. Bought jeans. Yeah! Friend bought me gift (two friend!) (it's my birthday on the tenth). Yeah! I got a Bloody Mary flavored/smelly lip balm. It smells funny. :D
I have a bunch of little stories (oirignal and Harry Potter) that I've been writing for scribble_daily so I'll post those up later today
