Wow, you sure got a lotta gifts for you birthday this year!! I'm jealous! (well, let's say I didn't ask for much :P) And a series of Japanese short stories? Sounds really interesting!!
I suppose we are as loyal as always to JK Rowling's books! The Tales of Beedle the Bard: I loved it! Makes one feel as if we were witches being read the stories! I had forgotten (or didn't know) that I liked fairy tales. I'm glad Jocelyn's little sister bought this for me for christmas :)
And your non-date, what's his name!? Is he a cute bishounen!? Either way, what's important is that you had fun! And that you found a fellow japanese-fanatic! Well, maybe not a fanatic, but at least loving the culture :) And I believe you when you say it wasn't a date! Suuuuuuuure!
Yeah, like Cyntedou said... great haul! You sure got a lot of things!
Heh, I don't know, I really enjoyed the Tales! Especially the one about the magical fountain. The annotations were awesome, but what I was looking forward to all along was the tales themselves, and I wasn't disappointed. We really do feel like witches reading them!
And. Huh. You were planning on going to Otakuthon?!?!? How come I didn't know that? Haha, if you'd gone we probably would have ended up running into each other. :P
Non-date? coughYeahrightcouch It really sounds like a bit of lame matchmaking, but at least you guys had fun! And if the two of you agree that it wasn't a date, then it's not a date... a girl and a boy can go out without it being a date! Are you going to see/talk to him again? It sounds like you do have some things in common... :)
Heh, Squall is kinda cute, but since I went to Otakuthon I can't help but picturing my friends' faces in the place of the characters we dressed up as, and our Squall wasn't that attractive, haha. :P
