Getting to the con was more fun and took longer then the meeting did, at least the part of it we got to see. But it Was Fun!!! lol

0034 on the 16th
I am just going to make this one post because well I didn't go into Sunday's activities. I must say my favorite con staff today is Katana. That is all.
Today was another interesting day. Work was canceled for Derwin this morning because Lift was not doing ride that were not life sustaining. Works for me. Brian's school was ultimately canceled,though he didn't figure that out until after he got there.
But for the most part today I crafted, watched KunDun, great movie, would like to see all of it though. The copy from the library was messed up during his escape from Tibet. Then I started watching season three of House. Sometime during the second episode, or was it the third... anyway we had a brown out. We heard sirens that sounded like they stopped about three blocks away on the main street nearest to us. The power came back on right before Michele arrived here.
In the mean time it got very cold int eh house Before Brian got back Kai, Derwin and I hung out in the living room with the only light we had on, which was about as bright as a 40 watt bulb I think, and I wound skeins of yarn into balls.

Once Brian got back he had the great idea to light candles for both warmth and light. I felt very duh since I am the pyro and I didn't think of it myself. But it was fun and we played UNO attack until shortly before the lights came back on. Brian tried getting our stupid gas fireplace to work, and it did for a while but then it went out and would not relight. Grrr I hate gas fireplaces. Give me a nice wood burning fireplace or stove any day.
Michele arrived about fuive minutes after the power was restored. An hour or more later the electric compnay gave me that call back they put me on the list for. I stayed up until five in the morning waiting for the lift office to open so I could cancel Derwin's rides for the day.
