Time to put on the Disney Sorting Hat!!

Sep 27, 2005 18:48

All right, so this Disney sorting thing is quite fun. And I'm anal.

EDIT: So far, we've got:

Gryffindor:
-Mulan
-Pocahontas
-Wendy (Peter Pan)
-Nala (Lion King

Ravenclaw:
-Ariel (Little Mermaid)
-Belle (Beauty and the Beast)

Hufflepuff:
-Sally (Nightmare Before Christmas)
-Maid Marian (Robin Hood)
-Jane (Tarzan)

Slytherin:
-Jasmine (Aladdin)
-Meg (Hercules)
-Tinkerbell (Peter Pan)

Squib:
-Snow White
-Cinderella
-Sleeping Beauty

And to clarify: Slytherin has positive points! =) (Ariel, I love you. And Jasmine rocks.)

What are opinions on Belle? Because I can somehow sort her into every house, except maybe Slytherin.

Yeah, so it's quite a drive back to school and I was bored.

I'm not sure where I would put Meg. I think she may well be Slytherin, based on the whole "sold my soul" thing, but she redeems herself through very brave means... I dunno about Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, but she certainly is a fun, sarcastic, smart girl. Then again, she sold her soul to save the man she loved! Ack. She's hard to peg, too.

I'm trying very hard not to put characters into houses based on my personal preferences, btw. =)

Okay, and Jane, from Tarzan. I'm torn between houses. I can see Gryffindor, because she's quite brave amidst all the screaming and eeking. I mean... she seeks out gorillas, and abandons everything she has known to live in the wilds of Africa. Then again, she does come in the first place to learn about gorillas and wildlife, because her father is a scientist and she has inherited those brains, which suggests Ravenclaw. But she decides to leave with her father because he needs her, and then stays because Tarzan needs her, which suggests the loyalty in Hufflepuff. (The problem here is that this is a favorite movie of mine. And I'm fond of Minnie Driver, and therefore Jane, by extension.)

Nala, Gryffindor. Granted, I know, we're leaving the human realm here, but hey, I'm looking and seeing my Lion King DVD on the shelf and hey. Whatever.

::sigh:: Ariel, I agree. Cinderella is a squib. So is Sleeping Beauty, even though I love the music and Prince Phillip is a cool prince, as far as they go. HE would be Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, based on how willing he is to throw away his crown and then fight his way in to save her.

Speaking of, what of the men? Wow. That opens a can of worms. There are a lot of them, and even in old Disney films, they are usually better developed than the women. Hmm.

Right, so... umm...

Pocahontas? Such a Gryffindor.

I've run out of ideas here and I can't remember anymore princesses or people.

And now I've played with this all evening and must stop. COMMENT! IDEAS! OPINIONS!! =D (I love you, my friends!)
