Did you think the Cissie picspammage was over? Ha! ;)
Last time, Cissie vanished into a pile of fanmail.
So where did she go? To help her friends play baseball.
As crazy as it sounds, Young Justice wound up on an alien planet, coerced into playing baseball to save it from an invading alien race.
Young Justice was awesome.
This scan is awesome, because, hey! Cassie and Bart take care of the exposition for me! ;)
Cissie is not so very thrilled by this turn of events.
I absolutely adore Cissie's rant there. It's one of those moments that make me *grin.*
Yeah, Cissie, that whole not-a-hero-but-continually-involved-in-Young-Justice's-business theme? Will continue. Which makes everyone but you happy. ;)
In any case, Cassie thinks Cissie will forgive her for teleporting her across the galaxy.
Cissie's not so sure.
Meanwhile, why are they bored? Because Bart is a one-man-team. ;) And something's been going on in the Impulse comic that I didn't get the memo on, but he and Cissie have a talk in the dugout:
I adore these two. Oh, BART. Oh, Cissie. ::loves them and squishes them::
In any case, Cissie is an Olympian! She's got a gold medal!
Baseball should be a piece of cake... right?
Or maybe archery skills don't translate to baseball very well.
So, after Cissie left YJ, they picked up a new member--Anita Fite, aka Empress. Empress is *awesome* and everyone loves her... except for Cissie. Who perhaps harbors a slightly intense case of INSANE JEALOUSY.
Cissie + Jealousy=Not very nice behavior. Poor Anita.
Robin has a Plan--make Cissie the pitcher! Anita offers a... pep talk?
And the game is very close, and who is up at bat? But Cissie has a great cheering section:
Mostly.
Yeah, Bart, you might have deserved that. ;)
In any case, long story short--Young Justice wins! Yay YJ! The rest of the team jumps on the SuperCycle and have a very strange encounter that results in the creation of a *baby* SuperCycle (don't ask. I mean that precisely as it sounds.). Leaving Cissie to find her own way back home... Or to rely on the aliens to do it for her.
So, meanwhile, back at her school--
I really do love her mother here, pretzel sticks and all (or especially--she's eating them because she's trying to quit smoking). She's so very blase about the whole thing. HA. (Also, am vindicated--the principal here is *not* the same principal who tries to deny Cassie entrance in Teen Titans. Randomly.)
Anyway, if we thought Bonnie King-Jones was turning over a new leaf and relinquishing some control over Cissie's life?
Well, she kind of did--she hired an agent.
At least the man-eating fanmail is taken care of?
Frank takes them to a Planet Hollywood type restaurant--that specializes in Superheroes. Ironic? Yeeeeah.
Arrowette, I'm your waittress, Arrowette.
Proof that the universe has a sense of humor.
But Cissie wasn't thrilled with the whole agent thing... at first. Possibly she changes her mind. Also, Cassie and Co return from outer space!
If the present happens to be a plant from an alien planet that may or may not attack the school in some future issue--it's the thought that counts?
Plus, Cissie's reaction upon seeing Cassie is *priceless.* ;)
