Well,
aradiachiba, requested two OTPs, but the second will have to wait because today is surprisingly busy. :)
This became more of a fic than a list of personal canon, since you know... it's not *strictly* canon. ;) It was fun!
Grey's Anatomy, Alex Karev/Addison Montgomery:
1. When Alex and Addison fight--really fight, not just normal bickering over the way she does the dishes or how he forgets to hang up his towel--he sometimes has to walk away. Addison follows him once, running after him down the street in the rain. When she reaches him, he grabs her hands and says, "Addie. I promised myself I would never be like my old man, but that means you gotta let me cool off. I will always come back." Addison doesn't really know what he means until Izzie Stevens tells her that Alex's father abused his mother and then abandoned her. After that, she stops trying to follow him. He always comes back.
2. Addison is the first woman Alex ever really loved, except maybe for Izzie--but he's not even sure about that anymore, because Izzie's like a sister now; he thinks of her the way he thinks of Meredith or Cristina. Addie, though... This is the first serious relationship he's ever had. One day, George teasingly calls him "whipped" and Alex isn't even insulted; it kind of makes him proud.
That doesn't stop him from smacking George upside the head and stealing his coffee while insulting his manhood.
3. They get married in the hospital chapel, in a ceremony that is the opposite of her wedding to Derek--simple and small, with vows they write themselves. Richard gives her away. Her bridesmaids are Callie and Miranda. Alex has George and Joe stand with him. Derek comes, kisses her cheek and tells Alex to take care of her. Addison feels optimistic; she's learned hard lessons, and is under no delusions that marriage is easy. Their honeymoon is void of all things ferry boat.
4. When Addison tells Alex she is pregnant, he whoops (there's no other word for it) and buys a teddy bear in scrubs from the hospital gift shop. He leaved it on her desk. She finds him talking to the premature baby in the NICU--"Guess what? I'm gonna be a daddy. And you know, your daddy's gonna wake up real soon. I'm sorry about your mom, but she did her best; she was a fighter, just like you, right? Your dad's gonna get better, cause he's gotta meet you, right, babe?" She doesn't have the heart to tell him that the girl's father died from his injuries ten minutes ago.
She miscarries a week later and Alex stays with her that night. She wakes up alone in her hospital bed and finds Alex in the NICU, talking to the same baby.
The only people who are surprised when Alex and Addison decide to adopt their orphaned premie are Alex and Addison.
5. On their anniversary, Alex wakes her with a vanilla latte. How he manages to sneak out without her noticing surprises her every year. She was never all that fond of vanilla lattes--too sweet--but they've grown on her.
Okay, now, back to Bruce and Richard. Oh, boys.
Also, somehow I found myself roped into being one of 6 adults taking over 100 children snow tubing from 12 to 5:30 tomorrow afternoon. O_o First--what snow? Second--bwa? Oh, Gorham Rec, you own my soul. (I'm trying to do that math... that's like 16 or 17 kids per adult! Gah!
Also... I have no ski pants. Huh.
