I was interviewed by dundee_kisses!

1. I've always wondered, is Maine really all about lobsters and cold weather?

Oh, boy, you asked about Maine! ;)

Lobsters, yeah. We're all about the lobsters. I have a specialty lobster plate on my car, because the money goes to the lobstering industry and... I have a bit of an obsession with all things lobstering--the buoys, the traps, the boats... the lobstermen... ;) (My college friends joke that I need to marry one.)

But! We're also all about blueberries, potatoes, corn and other agriculture. Farming's as big as fishing here.

Our biggest industry may well be tourism. Heck, the license plates all say "Vacationland" on them! And... oh, the tourists. =P Being called a tourist can be quite an insult in the summer, especially when driving.

"Tourist!" is less of an insult than "Masshole," though. ;) Massachusetts drivers!

Cold? You mean like this:

;)

Well, we have summer, fall, winter and spring/mud season. But Summer usually goes June-August. Then Fall is September-mid-November. If we're lucky, fall can last into December, before the winter cold and sometimes snow hits. We don't always have white Christmases, which is sad, but sometimes we get them. Then the snow will last all the way into April and once in a great while, it can snow in May. Mud season begins in April, when thawing happens. Then in May, we get spring--and more mud. ;)

But yeah, it gets cold, and there is snow--which leads to more tourism. So do the fall leaves, actually. But the busiest time of year is summer, because it's GORGEOUS in summer!

See?

...You DID ask. ;)

2. The Phantom. Mask on or mask off?

ON, please. The mask is sexy. And we mustn't forget the cape.

3. If you had to choose between not brushing your teeth for a month, or not being able to wear deoderant for a month, which would you pick?

Oh, so gross!!! But, uh, I'd have to say no deodorant. I'd be showering like crazy, but OMG, I have to be able to brush my teeth. =P

4. What's your favorite Cary Grant movie?

Oh, let's see. I ♥ The Philadelphia Story, but who doesn't? It's Cary Grant, James Stewart and Katharine Hepburn! I absolutely love An Affair To Remember, too, but I think that's a requirement for the Girly-Girl Romance Fan Club. ;)

And my favorite Christmas movie still remains The Bishop's Wife.

Um, and because I can't pick because it's CARY GRANT, more I love: To Catch a Thief, I Was a Male War Bride, The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer (with Shirley Temple, but older!), and Gunga Din.

I guess I didn't pick A favorite, did I? Oops. ;)

5. What's the most embarassing thing you've ever done?

Well... Huh. Oh, wait, I know. =P I was standing on my bed at school, and the bed was lifted up to be a loft-type thing (storage space!), so I was REALLY high. I was trying to put Christmas lights up around my bookshelf, which happened to be out of reach when standing on the bed.

So I made the brilliant decision to climb from the bed onto my desk chair.

My ROLLING desk chair.

Yeah, somehow I wound up falling in slow-motion and could not stop myself. I found myself wedged between my bed, the wall and my desk and it took my roommate and her fiance to move my desk and bed enough so I could get out. I think it took two of them because they were laughing so hard, she was crying.

Yes, so, brevity is not a friend of mine. =P
