I... am kind of overly amused that the movie is out on the first, and the game is closing the same day. Considering that they opened when the movie opened, that's either ironic or intentional. Either way, I had a good laugh.
Not to say I'm not bummed, but I'm not surprised. The game just seemed to be borrowing from an unreleased movie-- I could kind of tell it was prematurely opened. It's part of why I said I was interested and then never apped. It's kind of irresponsible to up and close the game after, what, just three months? And if I could tell it was under-planned, well.
Not to paint the mods in a bad light, but take it from a seasoned player in that area: an under-developed game is embaressing to mod. If you have to really discuss the plot of your game, then you're doing it wrong.
I sound so elitist but I hate when people just kind of half-ass things, especially games. Other people are playing with you, so being courteous and actually doing it would be lovely. I always feel bad when a game closes so early, especially when I
( ... )
No, I don't think you sound rude at all. It's a valid point. The mods said that they were closing the game because of 1) they needed to rework the plot and such, and 2) because they felt they wouldn't be able to mod it because they were working on theses.
Well, if you knew you were going to work on theses this year, why didn't they figure that out earlier, and make accommodations? It kind of frustrates me because the game has so much potential, but the mods are falling short because they didn't plan better, both with the plot and with timing. Just...grrr D8
...also, I feel kind of bitchy for this, but my friend pointed out that because they're anon mods, they can just kind of...you know, quietly slip away. And I agree with what she said. The players are just basically left high and dry in this case...
Good Lord the font here is small. Or eyesight is starting to go. ...Probably the latter.
If you want my opinion-- to be "the" Alice in Wonderland RP. The movie was coming out, and everything, so they jumped for it. Siiigh. I hate it when people do that but it's all I can come up with. I mean, they opened the weekend the movie opened for goodness' sake.
No, don't feel like that. It's a fact. I forgot they were anon and, honestly, I wouldn't join a game with anon mods. If they need to hide their identity... well, then. Not a good sign.
