Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and this disaster has been completely devestating. 100,000 are feared dead, communications are tenuous, people are still buried beneath rubble with no available equipment to dig them out, hospitals have collapsed, and people are sleeping in the streets.
If you've got it to spare, you can text 'Haiti' to 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross. It's quick and easy. If that doesn't suit you, there are tons of other organizations out there that you can donate to, just make sure that they're legit. Any little bit that you can give helps. Please pass the message along, in case you have friends that might be able to give.
