"The Jig Is Up"
We have heard that term so many times in movies, shows and what not. But what does it really mean. Well Jig is a derrogatory term for black person. When it was said in the past a long time ago it was meant as the black person is hung up in the tree. Yes. "The Jig is up" translates to "the Nigger is hung". lovely right? think about that when ya say "the jig is up". Some people still know the old phrase for it. so if somebody seems offended by this thing, this is why.
