*sigh* Avira is still freaking out - and now, I restarted the computer, and it started up differently. I don't know if it's because I uninstalled the .NET framework or what, so argh. Usually it starts up, and hangs on the Welcome screen and wallpaper, before loading the icons, then the taskbar, then it starts loading the programs. This evening? Loaded the wallpaper with icons and taskbar in place (which doesn't bode well...) and took a total of nine minutes to load. Usually it takes about six. The worst part? I won't know if it's working fine or if it's like a month ago until after I hibernate it, and then, the only thing I can think of to fix it is to restore it to before the restart.
I wish I could figure out how to make it start up faster - I know it used to start up faster, and it just started loading up slowly like this one day out of the blue - no new programs or anything. So far the only thing I can think of trying to get it to go back to that is a reformat, and that's a bit much. (I really hope the restore disks I made with Paragon work, the one time I put them in they work differently than the ones I use, which just go for it after asking yes or no.)
So yeah, now I have no clue if it's still okay or not, or if just adding more RAM will help. I really hope more RAM fixes the startup and Avira errors, because I don't know what else to do - and I've been having problems like this since March. I think I've just about reached the end of my rope, I really do, and I can't take much more before I have a breakdown.

Strange - flipping through the TV with captions on, the Travel channel's captions have nothing to do with what's playing, at all. Oh no - it's traveling to the TV! (lol)
