So my schedule for work has been messed up since the start of this week. Apparently, I was supposed to come in Monday at 2 PM, but I came in at 4 PM--having read the schedule for next week and going off my usual schedule. Then I was scheduled for Tuesday for 4 PM--which is odd because don't normally work Tuesday. However, I had the day off today. Lily was a terribly behaved cat this morning, despite that I managed to sleep in til 1PM.
First act of business, went to Feeder's Supply to buy cat food and litter. I promptly donated it the Louisville Metro Animal Shelter. Several animals drowned when the shelter flooded and all the food was lost. What's great about Feeder's Supply is that you can buy the food and supplies there, then tell the people you want to donate it, and they will put in the back until a truck arrives to transport it. I was really upset when I read the news in the CJ, so I was determined to help out. I urge people to make donations too.
After that, Dustin and I went to find and try out the new Vietnamese restaurant on Strawberry Lane. It was kind of tricky to find and located in a very shady shopping center--typical of any real Vietnamese restaurant. The name of the restaurant is Pho Binh Minh. The food was REALLY GOOD and CHEAP! It's a tiny little restaurant with 6 tables and a huge flat screen TV with Law and Order playing. I think Dustin and I were destined to come eat at the place. The restaurant has a one-up on all the others--it serves Vietnamese sandwiches! Granted, I thought there wasn't enough meat, but it wasn't bad for $3. Next time I'll ask for extra meat. Planning another trip there on Friday. People in Louisville should come out an join me!
Went to Michael's to buy more crafting supplies in my quest to make a mini gothic lolita hat. Decided to invest in a hot glue gun--for like $2.99 and I had a 40% off coupon--LOL. It's the tool really needed to make a nice Lolita hat. I also bought sitcky sided felt. I think the most expensive thing I bought was the coffee cups, but I got 12 in a pack. I also decided to drop the money needed to commission a Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicle's dress and styled wig. My costume maker and wig stylist are both really nice and trustworthy.
Sooo hungry. There's no real food in the house. Only Ramen noodles, Mama noodles, and Chef Boyardee Mini Raviolis, and cereal. Going out to procure more food. Dustin was surprised I still kept an LJ. He's like "No one does it anymore." I told him I know quite a few people who still do. Plus it's nice and convenient because I don't know how to mess with all the CSS coding + HTML needed to make a "real" blog or rather a blog layout.
