Waiting for Heroes & Thanksgiving
Waiting for Heroes to come on...can't wait to see what's gonna happen. I really don't dig Papa Petrelli (the actor more than the character). I want to more of Elle and what's she up to. I'm worried about Hiro. I heart new Sylar....he's too cute.
More worried about how Thanksgiving is gonna pan out though. For those of you who don't know, which is most everyone because I've only told a few people, my mother just got remarried. Don't know husband #2 very well, his name is Neal, and he's nice enough. My sister and I still have some issues with him and personal space and time and comfort. Part of me wants be like "Oh great, he can come over and it'll be a fun family Thanksgiving dinner..." it'll be like the commercials and we can be an all American semi-nuclear family. Still another part is like "ehhhhh....that'll be too awkward...I hardly know him...I'm comfortable simply eating dinner, but spending the whole day...nuh uh...." My sister will throw a huge fit too. But I don't want my mom to have to split her Thanksgiving day in two, and cook at one place and deliver food to the other. My family is anything but all american, semi-nuclear. All I know is this Thanksgiving will be 100% AWKWARD and probably stressful, slightly uncomfortable, interesting and STRANGE. We've been an all woman family for some time now; it's kind of weird having a man thrown in the mix...especially as a week after last Thanksgiving I pretty much hated the guy.
On the upside: IDINA MENZEL WILL BE PERFORMING AT THE MACY'S DAY PARADE!!!!
And I got over my chickeness, listened again the sales director of Mary Kay (Suzanne), really empathized with her, and decided to sign on. She said she started out 5 hours a week, and the girl who got into it was 22 in college, and selling MK out of her dorm room. Plus Suzanne is uber nice. She gave me a free mini size of a new lotion, bodywash set for coming to meeting and a free brush set for signing on. I didn't win the half price starter kit though. Wanda, my friend, gave me a mini sized bottle of Satin Hands lotion--my favorite thing ever!!! So now I need you guys' support and in return I'll give you guys free makeovers! :)
