Traffic is not a good thing...
I think that I made a mistake this morning. I had to take some papers to the courthouse and decided that going early would be for the best. Apparently there was some sort of court session being held for traffic court today because all of the spots on the street and all of the spots in the nearby garage were full. Considering that I didn't want to spend anywhere from $2-$5 on getting my car a space in an open-air lot (though I was sorely tempted by the end of the excitement), I had to drive around for thirty minutes until I found something on an off-street several blocks away.
Of course, then I ended up feeding the meter overmuch, but I'd much rather spend a few cents extra over $6.00 should I not have made it back in 30 minutes at the only open garage that didn't give off danger vibes.
:headdesk: I feel like I should go home now. I am reaffirming that I will no longer go to the courthouse first thing for filing unless I am ordered to be there by the court itself. 12:30p-1:00p would seem to be the ideal time and I'm sticking to it.
